Travelsafe relaunches post-pandemic with a new underwriter
Travel insurance that works for everyone
[Cape Town, October 2022] – SureStart Online Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, Africa’s leading digital broker, has relaunched its click-to-buy travel insurance brand, Travelsafe, post-pandemic with a new underwriter, Chubb Insurance South Africa.
With leisure travel now resuming once more after the Covid-19 pandemic, SureStart believes the time is now right to relaunch its Travelsafe insurance service for consumers. Executive Director, Matthew Farquhar CFP®, said this about the relaunch: “Click-to-buy travel insurance was the first product we brought to market in 2016 with our tech partner, Briisk ITP, and we are immensely excited to be able to relaunch our offering with the backing of a global insurer like Chubb." Reflecting on the impact on the leisure industry, he added: “It has been an extremely tough environment for any leisure business linked to travel over the last two years, however, we are seeing a travel industry rebounding with travellers eager to start their trips. Travelsafe will be there to offer a seamless customer journey with insurance bought in just a few clicks."
Travelsafe has five travel packages created with a specific type of customer in mind:
- The Travel Visa package is designed for the minimum requirements for a Schengen Visa
- Travel Plus is designed for price-sensitive young families or students
- Travel Top-Up is designed to top up the free cover you get with your credit card
- Travel Superior is designed for customers wanting the most comprehensive cover
- Travel Seniors designed for travellers aged 70 years and over.
The additional extended cover is available for winter sports, hazardous activities, sports equipment, and rental vehicle collision damage waiver.
